• ABS or brake warning lights on the dash
• Worn or damaged pads
• Brake vibrations
• Whining brakes
• Taking longer than normal to slow down and stop
• Grinding noises

Grinds usually mean warped rotors, with damage most likely caused by excessive brake pad wear.
